Hotter Shoes: Not just for Grannies!

What are your preconceptions of Hotter Shoes? That you'll walk into a store and find it full of fusty old dears well into their nineties, trying on boring clogs and wittering on about false teeth and bunions? If so, you couldn't be more wrong! I've been shopping with Hotter Shoes for years, I own a pair of their Danielle ankle boots, which are a staple in my wardrobe, and a pair of their black flats which I wore to death during the summer when I was waitressing. I was therefore super excited to make it onto the guest list of a Hotter Blogger Party at my local store on Queen's Street in Oxford. A couple of my lovely blogger friends, Hayley and Rachel, were also in attendance, and I had a fantastic time! Keep reading to find out how we spent our evening!

Imagine our delight when arriving at the Hotter store to be greeted with a glass of prosecco and swathes of food! The Hotter PR crew and the Store team couldn't have been more welcoming. They invited us to help ourselves to the wide selection of nibbles while we wandered around the store and eyed up the products. Any excuse for chocolate macarons is a good excuse for chocolate macarons in my book, so I was very happy to tuck into these whilst browsing Hotter's new Spring styles! The shoes in this collection not only look gorgeous with their bright colours and floral prints, but also feature Hotter's unique Comfort Concept technology, including silky soft insoles, plenty of wiggle room for your tootsies, and super-lightweight soles - what more could you ask for?

The Hotter team also allowed us to try on the shoes we most liked the look of, and choose a pair to take home! My eye was immediately drawn to the stunning Donna heels.* I really liked these because of their simple yet unique style, they're incredibly diverse and can be worn dressed up with a skirt and cable-knit tights, or dressed down with a pair of jeans. You might be worried that the gorgeous lilac suede might get spoiled or faded in the rain, but with Hotter's protectant spray (which I have bought previously and used on my other Hotter shoes), this won't be a problem! The Danielle boots by Hotter (which are sadly no longer available to buy - sob!) are the only heels that I can walk round in all day without sore feet, and as these Donna shoes have the exact same heel design, I'm confident that these will serve me just as well. Another great thing about Hotter is that their shoes come in wide fit, slim fit, and half sizes - perfect if you struggle to find your size elsewhere.

There was a real mix of bloggers at the event, from those in their twenties such as myself, Hayley, and Rachel, and some older Mummy bloggers too! Everyone was able to find a pair of shoes that they loved and that fitted with their needs, which shows just how diverse Hotter's appeal really is! We all also had the chance to film a segment for Hotter's official YouTube channel, which was a real thrill! I messed up what I wanted to say about 40 times but the lovely lady behind the camera allowed me to take all the time I needed! You can watch the video below:

I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Hotter for putting on such a lovely evening for us, I can honestly say that it was one of the nicest and most friendly blogger events I've ever attended!

Have you ever shopped at Hotter? What do you think of my new Donna shoes? Make sure you tell me in the comments below!

Until next time,

A x
